Jason Todd’s New Beginning in a City of Shadows

When DC Comics launches a new series with Jason Todd at the center, expectations are always high. 

“Red Hood #1” delivers a story that feels both familiar and freshly unsettling, one that pulls Jason far from Gotham’s shadowy rooftops and plants him in the sweltering streets of New Angelique. 

This new city, rife with corruption, humidity, and moral ambiguity, becomes more than a backdrop; it’s a character in its own right, pressing down on Jason as he struggles to redefine himself after the events of “Batman: Hush 2.”

The issue opens with Jason reeling from wounds both physical and psychological. 

He’s looking for a new beginning, but the city doesn’t let him rest. A series of violent murders, some tied to law enforcement, quickly drags him into a web of deceit and danger. READ MORE >>>
